My Professor Says I Have to Use MLA Format. What Does That Mean???

There are many different formats used for citation.
Some of the most popular styles used at King's are MLA, APA, Chicago/Turabian, and CSE.

It is likely you will learn to use more than one style (maybe even three!) in your coursework. The specific style used depends upion the disicpline (subject) to which your class belongs.

MLA (Modern Language Association) is used for Humanities - Writing, English, Foreign Languages, Philosophy, Theology, Performing Arts

APA (American Psychological Association) is used for Social Sciences - Psychology, Criminal Justice, Education, Mass Communication, Business

Chicago and Turabian styles are used for any courses relating to History - Western Civilization, Modern & Contemporary History, American History, World History, History of Theology
