Using Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan is available for you when you have determined that King's does not own a particular book or journal that you need. Before you request an item, please check the catalog to be sure that the item is not available at King's. Follow the steps that are explained in the preceding section.

If Interlibrary Loan service is desired, go to the Electronic Forms section of the library web page, and click on Interlibrary Loan. Be sure to read the introductory information. Then fill out the appropriate form as completely as possible. Be sure to enter accurate contact information, so that we can get in touch with you if we need to.

The Interlibrary Loan process takes time, so please request your items at least two weeks before you need them.

Be sure you emailed me the answers to the exercises in "Performing a Basic Search," "Using the Thesaurus," "Performing Advanced Search," "Searching by Subject or Author," and "Using the Catalog."

Now that you have completed the database searching section of the tutorial, you are ready to learn about using information that you find on the Internet. Go back to the Library Modules Table of Contents and move on to the section called "Evaluating Websites."
