Automated Sign-up for WebAdvisor

Anyone can access the main screen of WebAdvisor and request a login ID. However, the registry file contains the names of all current students, faculty members and administrative staff that are eligible to access the WebAdvisor system. When you begin to use WebAdvisor, the system first checks to see if your name exists in the registry file.

If your name is not in the registry file you cannot proceed any further. Attempting to login at this point will result with the system generating this error message:

You are not signed up for WebAdvisor. Contact your system administrator.
You will not be able to proceed any further.


However, once you have been identified in the registry file, the system will require you to enter specific demographic data in order to validate your identity.

In order to get your name added into the Registry file you must first request access to WebAdvisor by sending an email either to the Registrar or to the HelpLine.

Once your name is in the registry file, click "I'm New to WebAdvisor." You are now ready to login. Follow the STEPS 1 through 4 on the following pages. Once you have successfully completed these steps an automatic e-mail confirmation will be sent to you with your temporary PIN.


 

Open WebAdvisor link, http://www.kings.edu/webadvisorlogin/ and click on button.
Click on WebAdvisor for Employees


 

Click on I'm New to WebAdvisor link


 

There are FOUR steps you will step through in order to receive your WebAdvisor temporary password.
BEFORE you proceed, you will need:

1) Your Last Name
2) Social Security Number or Datatel Id Number.

Business Office can assist you with in determining your Datatel ID Number.

Click on Proceed to Step 1 link

  STEP 1 (Get User Id)

Enter your Last Name, capitalization does not matter but spelling does.

Enter either your SSN or Datatel ID No.

Dashes are not required for SSN.

You MUST enter leading zeroes in Id No field. The maximum length for Id No

is 7 digits.

Click Submit

You should see you User Name displayed.

Remember this User Name. You will need this to login later on.

Click on Proceed to Step 2 link.

STEP 2 (Reset Password)

Enter your Last Name, capitalization does not matter but spelling does.

Enter either your SSN or Datatel ID No.

Do not enter dashes for SSN.

You MUST enter leading zeroes in Id No field. The maximum length for Id No

is 7 digits.

Click Submit


 

Click on the dropdown box arrow and select the appropriate email address.

This is the email address your temporary password will be sent to.

Click Submit.


 

If you do NOT select an email address you will be presented with a similar screen.

Please select an email address.


 

After clicking Submit, you should see a similar message.

Click on Proceed to Step 3 link.

STEP 3 (Check your email for temporary password)

Your temporary password should be in your email Inbox shortly.

Click on Proceed to Step 4 link after receiving the email.

You should receive an email similar to this:

Next:

1) Return to your web browser and Log In.

This is your new TEMPORARY password: had97tape.

2) The first time you log in you must define a new password that you will use from then on.

STEP 4 (Log In)

Login using the information previously sent by email.

Click Submit.


 

After you login for the first time, the system will prompt you to change the temporary password to a password of your choosing.

Remember, the NEW password MUST be 6 to 9 characters in length and include

BOTH letters and numbers.

You may also enter a password hint.

Click Submit.

Forgot WebAdvisor Password

If a user forgets his/her password, they can request a NEW password via the Reset Password link.

This option is available under the links:
WebAdvisor for Employees
What's My Password
Reset my password

A temporary password will be emailed to the user, and then upon their subsequent Login into WebAdvisor, the user will be prompted to change the temporary password again.

Keep in mind that the system will not allow you to re-use any of your previous three (3) passwords.

If this is not successful or if the user is having further difficulty resetting their WebAdvisor Password, then the user should send the request to reset their WebAdvisor password into the HELP line.

My Budget Access

Click on My budget


 

You will need your (9) digit budget account number to access the system and begin to view the detail for each account.

 

Example :

 

(1)   Fund 1

(2)   Unit 5113

(3)   Object 82 for all operating line items

 

 

Next click on Submit to view your account information. To look at the detail for any line item just click on the choose box and select one of the following:

 

BGT Budget Detail

REQ Requisition Detail

ENC Encumbrance Detail

ACT Actuals Detail
