8th Annual King’s
College Math
Competition About The King’s College Math Competition
(KCMC) is a one day high
school math competition that consists of two components. In the
morning,
individual students participate in a 90 minute 35 question multiple
choice
competition. The afternoon competition is a team relay competition.
Teams
consist of three or four students. Each relay question has four parts;
the
solution to part a is needed for part b, the solution to part b is
needed for
part c, and the solution for part c is needed for part d. Topics
include
algebra, geometry, logic, combinations, permutations, probability, and
trigonometry. Awards The top 3 individual finishers and top 3
team finishers will
receive medals. The first and second place individual finisher will
receive a small
four year renewable scholarship to King’s College. The top
individual finisher
from each school will receive a recreational math book and a small four
year
renewable scholarship to King’s College.
