  • Periodical Index: Use a periodical index to locate articles written by the author. Choose an index that covers the same topical area. Check your library's web site to find online periodical indexes that you can use for this purpose.

    For example:

    Use PsycINFO to locate articles published by an author of a web site that involves some aspect of psychology.


What has been written about this author?
  • Web Search Engine: Use a search engine to find Web pages where the author's name is mentioned. (Be sure to search for the name as a phrase.)

    For example:

    Google
    MetaCrawler


  • Full-text Article Database: Use a database that searches the full-text of articles (not just descriptive information about the article) to find those that mention people or organizations.

    For example:

    FindArticles.com
    LexisNexis Academic
