Wanna Be a DJ?
WRKC is always looking for new on-air talent to fill our open timeslots. We cover a diverse range of music including our long running reggae show on Thursday nights and Thursday mornings with Rich Zeszotarski showcases some of the most eclectic music you'll hear on the radio today.

Our DJ selection is a pretty simple and King's friendly criteria:
First teir- Past DJ's: If you've had a show before (regardless of your class rank), we'd love to put you back at your old time, but if we can't you get first crack at show times before anyone else.
Second teir- Upperclassmen: If you're an upperclassmen (sophomore, junior, or senior) who wants to try out radio for the first time, then we'll give you a show and you get to pick before any new freshmen.
Third teir- Freshmen: For new freshmen we give you the short end of the stick, but we all know it's not fun being the low man. We usually give priority to anyone who can put on the Radio Home Visitor for us, but after that all freshmen have a chance to fill up our leftover spots on WRKC.
Fourth teir- Locals: Any possible spots leftover are open to people from the public that are affiliated with the station through helping, friendships, etc. Most of the time these people have radio experience and maintain a professional show. We are MUCH more strict on this teir too.

If you think you'd be a good on-air personality, then contact us at WRKC via email (wrkc@kings.edu) or phone 570-208-5931 (office).
