You try to explain that you had only admitted to being a witch because of the pain of torture. You would have said anything to avoid the pain. You have never known the Devil, participated in sabbaths, cast any spells to harm anyone. You swear on Jesus Christ, Our Lady and all the saints. You plead for mercy from the court.

The judges confer in whispers. Then, the judge in the middle says, "You are obviously still under the influence of Satan. Take the accused back to be tortured until a full confession is made again."
