KING'S SOFTBALL SWEEPS PHILLY BIBLE
COCOA BEACH, FLA -- The King's College softball team posted a
doubleheader sweep over Philadelphia Biblical University Monday in Cocoa
Beach, Fla.
King's won the first game 10-0 before capturing the nightcap by a 16-2
margin.
In the first game Amanda Rizner picked up the pitching win, allowing two
hits in five innings of work. Rizner struck out five batters and did not
allow a walk.
Abbey Knoblauch was 4-for-4 with a stolen base to lead the Lady Monarch
attack. Katie Fry was 2-for-3 with three RBI while Mari Valonis was
1-for-3 with two RBI. Leanne Harvey and Rizner both added one base hit
and one RBI each.
In the second game, Kelsey Shreaves pitched five innings and allowed
just one while striking out seven batters to earn the win. Knoblauch led
the way again, going 4-for-5 with a triple and three RBI. Becky Loring
was 3-for-3 with a triple and three RBI.
Julie Bidwell went 2-for-3 with an RBI while Harvey was 3-for-5 with two
RBI. Meghan Galvin was 2-for-4 with an RBI while Shreaves aided her own
cause by going 2-for-2 with two RBI.
