KING'S SOFTBALL RANKED 24TH NATIONALLY IN FINAL NFCA
POLL
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College softball team was ranked 24th
nationally in the final 2005 National Fastpitch Coaches Association
Division III Poll, the NFCA announced.
King's concluded the year with a 34-12 record after winning a sixth
straight Freedom Conference title and earning a sixth consecutive
national tournament berth. The Lady Monarchs nearly advanced to
the Division III College Word Series when the team fell to Ithaca
College in the regional championship game. Ithaca finished fourth
in the final poll.
National champion St. Thomas of Minnesota finished atop the final poll.
