KING'S SOFTBALL TEAM 25TH IN FINAL DIVISION III
RANKINGS
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College softball team
earned its highest season-ending ranking ever as the Lady Monarchs were
rated 22nd nationally in the final National Fastpitch Coaches Association
Division III National Poll.
King's, which posted a school-record for victories
in registering a 39-10 mark, won a fifth straight Freedom Conference
championship and advanced to the NCAA Division III National Tournament for
a fifth consecutive season.
St. Thomas, which won the 2004 Division III national
title, was ranked first while national runner-up Moravian finished second.
Salisbury University was ranked third.
