KING'S SOFTBALL SWEEPS BBC, IMPROVED TO 29-5
CLARKS SUMMIT -- The King's College softball team
improved to 29-5 with a doubleheader sweep of Baptist Bible College. The
Lady Monarchs won the first game 11-3 before taking the nightcap 21-0.
Both games were halted in five innings.
In the first game, winning pitcher Megan Adams
allowed eight hits and struck out three batters. Maria Zangardi was
3-for-4 with two home runs, a double, and six RBI. Tiffany Stead was
2-for-3. Kristin Brady had a triple and two RBI while Stacey Preambo had
an RBI double.
In the second game, Nicole Conger picked up the
pitching victory, allowing three hits while striking out five batters.
Kelley Vaxmonsky was 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, and six RBI.
Brady was 4-for-4 with a triple and four RBI. Mari Valonis was 2-for-4
with a double and one RBI.
The Lady Monarchs will next host College
Misericordia today at 3:00 p.m. at Betzler Fields.
