WILKES-BARRE -- Drew University overcame a 4-1 deficit by scoring eight runs over their final three at-bats as the Rangers eliminated the University of Scranton 9-4 in the semi-finals of the MAC Freedom Conference Softball Championships Saturday at King's College's Robert L. Betzler Fields.

The Rangers answered with three runs in the bottom half of the inning when Kristen Mignoli singled and scored on a double by Tara Duffy. After a single by Shanna Peras, Alex McCaffrey drove in a run with a double. Waz then came through with an RBI single to knot the score at 4-4.

The game remained tied until the bottom-of-the-fifth inning when Waz singled and Allie Grill doubled. Michelle Callen then drove hone two runs with a single to give the Rangers a 6-4 lead.

Drew would put the game away with three runs in the sixth on an RBI double by Peras and a run-scoring single by Grill, coupled with a Lady Royal error.
