LADY MONARCH SOFTBALL SPLITS WITH ARCADIA,
REACHES 20-WIN MARK FOR SIXTH STRAIGHT
SEASON
GLENSIDE -- The King's College softball team split a
doubleheader with Arcadia
University on Sunday, falling 4-3 in the first game while capturing
the nightcap by a 15-2 margin. In the
process, King's registered its sixth straight
20-plus win season as the Lady Monarchs improved to 20-3-1 on the
year.
In the opener, Jess Harvey was 1-for-2 and scored a
run, while Lisa Rizzo was
also 1-for-2. Michele Dlugosz was
1-for-3 with a double and scored two runs.
Stacey Preambo was 1-for-2 with an RBI.
In the nightcap, Maria Zangardi went 3-for-4 with
three RBI and scored three runs.
Zangardi blasted her third home run in the last two days while adding
a double. Katie Seguin was 3-for-4 with
three RBI, while Dlugosz went 3-for-5
with two RBI and scored two runs. Preambo chipped in with a 2-for-2
effort while scoring three runs.
Freshman Meghan Adams picked up the win with
a five-hit effort.
King's will travel to Madison, NJ on Tuesday to face
Drew University in a crucial
MAC Freedom Conference doubleheader slated for 3:00 p.m.
