The mass communications student newsletter, The MediaConnection is currently in its third year of publication. It is designed to inform and update mass communications students, faculty, and alumni about the latest happenings within the major and provide an outlook of where the department is going. The MediaConnection highlights notable speakers who have visited the campus, department sponsored events at King’s, and spotlights students, faculty, and alumni.

During spring semesters, the newsletter is incorporated into the mass communications Practicum I class curriculum. Students enrolled in the class are asked to contribute articles, photos, and assist with the newsletter’s layout. The MediaConnection is produced on a voluntary basis during the fall semesters.

The student editors for Fall 2008 are: Ben Brojakowski, Catie Belardo and Patrick Maloney.

Ms. Karen Mercincavage, Assistant Technical Professor, Mass Communications is faculty advisor and Ms. Tracey Selingo, chairperson and Assistant Technical Professor, Mass Communications, is the faculty editorial support.
