GRADE: 26, $11.49 per hour
DEPARTMENT: Dining Services
POSITION REPORTS TO: Food Production Coordinator
SCHEDULE: Saturday, Sunday 11:00 am until 7:30 pm
JOB FUNCTION: Responsible for proper handling, preparation and presentation of food items in conjunction with the food production coordinator.
ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:
1. Prepares menu items for dinner in Marketplace.
2. Assists in lunch production when necessary.
3. Assists the Special Events Cook when necessary.
4. Assists Food Production Coordinator in food cost control.
5. Follows established sanitation practices.
6. Keeps kitchen work areas clean and organized
NON-ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:
1. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS: 3-5 years volume food preparation experience. Knowledge of safety and proper food handling procedures. Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Ability to follow oral and written directions. Ability to get along with others, thoroughness, dependability, and cleanliness.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to walk, bend, stoop, reach, push, twist, stretch and lift approximately 30-40lbs on a regular basis. Finger dexterity.
