POSITION: Intern Swim Coach

CLASSIFICATION: Administrative

DEPARTMENT: Athletics

REPORTS TO: Swim Team Head Coach

JOB FUNCTION: Assists the Head Coach at practices and meets, recruit, and assist with the administration of the King’s College men’s and women’s swim team.

ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:

1. Responsible for assisting in the day to day administration of the swim program:

· Recruiting

· Practice schedules

· Travel plans

· Fundraising

· Completion of all NCAA compliance forms

2. Adhere to all policies as established by the college, the department and the conferences (MAC, ECAC and NCAA.)

3. Any other duties as assigned by the Head Swimming Coach.

NON-ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:

1. Performance of all other duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

1. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree is required.

2. Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid certifications are required.

3. Previous swimming and/or coaching experience at the college level is preferred.

4. Knowledge of NCAA Regulations.

5. Previous experience teaching swimming lessons and/or working at swim camps is preferred.

6. Knowledge of the HYTEK Meet Manager and Colorado Timing systems is preferred.
