King’s College Department of Physician Assistant Studies

 

 

King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, PA seeks an Academic faculty member for its Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies Program.  This is a full-time, 12-month, non‑tenure track faculty position that begins July 1, 2014.  The Physician Assistant Program has been continuously accredited since 1977 and has graduated over 900 physician assistants with its first master degree recipients in 2002.  The applicant must be a Physician Assistant who is NCCPA certified with clinical experience as a physician assistant and at minimum be enrolled in a master’s program.  Prior experience in an academic setting is preferred.  The successful candidate will support the Holy Cross mission and Catholic identity of the College.

 

Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting the Academic Director in coordinating and monitoring the didactic phase of the program, developing exams and other clinical assessment tools and sharing in the didactic responsibilities of academic instruction, proctoring exams, clinical skills demonstration and testing, OSCE’s, physical diagnosis lab, and other duties as assigned by the Program/Academic Director.  Candidates will also assist with Program assessment.  Computer fluency is required.  There is an expectation of being actively involved in the College community outside of the classroom.
