Part time Academic Season

Position:                                   Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach

Classification                            Support Staff

Department:                              Athletics

Reports To:                              Head Men’s Soccer Coach

JOB FUNCTION:       Assist the Head Men’s Soccer Coach in the organization of all aspects of the varsity men’s soccer program.

ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:

1.      Assist in the preparation and management all aspects of the men’s soccer program.

2.      Share the responsibility for all game-day operations.

3.      Assist in the preparation of all necessary paperwork for team travel.

4.      Recruit prospective student athletes who play soccer

5.      Adhere to all policies established by the college, the department and the conferences (NCAA, ECAC, MAC)

NON ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:

1.                  Other Duties as assigned by the Head Men’s Soccer Coach

2.                  Expectation to attend professional development clinics regularly.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

1                    Bachelor’s Degree preferred

2                    Demonstrated coaching and or playing experience

2.                  Sound communication skills, both written and oral.
