JOB
FUNCTION: The Assistant Director functions as the Assistant to the Director of International
Student Recruitment. Primary responsibility is for the recruitment of
undergraduate and graduate international students to King’s College; also, provides
guidance and training to secretarial staff and work study students.
ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS:
·
Consults with other departments of the College in order to be informed
and up-to-date about College goals, programs, trends, and unique marketing
features.
·
Reviews and evaluates admission files and makes recommendations on
admission to the admission committee.
·
Reviews and evaluates admission files and makes recommendations on
scholarship eligibility to the scholarship committee.
·
Conducts daily interviews of prospective students.
·
Primary responsibility of recruitment of high-quality international
undergraduate and graduate students through the application to start phases
·
Assists with International New Student Orientation, open-house events,
international culture day and other international events
·
Coordinates processes for responding to questions and concerns from
international students related to immigration issues, application,
registration, tuition, fees, housing and other College services
·
Work closely with academic departments, Admissions Office, Academic
Advising, Academic Skills and other departments to fulfill enrollment goals and
ensure a smooth transitions for new students
·
Work with the Admissions Office and Marketing to develop marketing
materials
·
Responsible for maintaining and updating King’s College International
Recruitment website
·
Works with international recruitment agencies in recruitment of
international students
·
Represents the International Recruitment Office on King’s College
administrative committees

REQUIRED
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
1. Bachelor’s Degree required;
Master’s Degree preferred
2. A through knowledge of
Admissions Procedures (at least one year of experience in international
admissions preferred).
3. Sound administrative skills.
4. Good Communication skills.
5. Bilingual (Arabic, Chinese
or Spanish, preferred)
6. Leadership and
organizational skills.
7. Excellent skills in
MicroSoft Office.
WORKING
CONDITIONS:
Typical
office working conditions. Able to travel internationally.
