Exit Interview
An
exit interview is normally conducted by the Human Resources Department for
non-faculty employees who are resigning
employment. The interview should take place prior to the employee's last
day of work. The interview is conducted for the following reasons:
1. To give the employee an
opportunity to discuss freely his/her reasons for separation of employment.
2. To obtain information
and views which may help the College make improvements in policies, procedures
and working conditions, and reduce turnover.
3. To return any College
owned property.
4. To provide the employee
with information about his/her benefits. The following points will be
discussed during the exit interview:

Reason for separation
·
Status of insurance and medical coverage
·
Retirement plan
·
Wages due and last pay date
·
Return all College property
·
Vacation pay accrued but not taken
·
COBRA information
·
Employee questions and comments
If
an employee is unable to report to the Human Resources Department for an exit
interview, a representative of the Human Resources Department may conduct the
interview by phone.
