Simply
stated, distance learning takes place when a teacher and students,
separated by physical distance, use communication technology
to facilitate instruction.

King's
College uses two primary modes of Distance Learning. Our distance
learning courses are offered online through an interface known
as WebCT, where an entire class can be taught without setting
foot in a classroom. Also, Videoconferencing relies on two-way,
compressed, videoconferencing over ISDN telephone lines.

King's
currently offers videoconferencing courses to high school
students through our College Discovery program, and to individuals
interested in obtaining graduate degrees through our Graduate
School and Education Department.
