Gracemarie Mike, a junior English major with concentrations in literature and writing and a Spanish major, was awarded the 2008-2009 King's Faculty Scholarship.

“Receiving a scholarship from the faculty at King's is one of the greatest honors that I could have ever imagined,” said Mike.

The Faculty Scholarship program was designed in 2006 to provide financial assistance to deserving students.

Mike is a member of the Cantores Christi Regis, the college's choir, president of the Honors Program Student Advisory Council and a member of the Honors Program, a writing editor for The Regis , the campus' yearbook. Mike is also president and a member of the Delta Epsilon Sigma, president and a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the campus' English society, former president and member of Alpha Mau Gamma, the campus' foreign language's society and a member of the Aquinas Society. Mike is also a peer tutor and works in the Writing Center on campus.

Mike has also completed an internship with Miramar Real Estate Management Inc. in San Juan Puerto Rico last summer and is currently doing an internship at GUARD Insurance Group in Wilkes-Barre , PA.
