KING’S VOLLEYBALL WINS TWO AT TRI-MEET
COBELSKILL, NY – The King’s College women’s
volleyball team won both ends of a triangular meet Saturday in
Cobleskill, NY.
In its first match, King’s defeated host SUNY-Cobleskill 3-0 by
scores of 216, 26-24, 25-19. In the second match, King’s bested
Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts 3-0 by scores of 25-23, 25-9,
25-11 to improve to 16-6 on the year.
In the opener, Danielle Belfanti led King’s with 17 digs while Kat
Clerici posted 10 kills and two block assists. Emily Kline followed
with seven kills while Katie Doss registered six kills and four
digs. Kelly Greenway dished out 26 assists with four kills and six
digs while Tanya Rabenold chipped in with nine digs and two kills.
In the second match, Clerici netted 11 kills and four block assists
while Kline followed with six kills and two blocks. Belfanti had 10
digs, four aces, and 10 service points while Greenway contributed 22
assists and nine service points. Shannon Ellis chipped in with 11
service points and two aces.
King’s will next travel to Reading to face Alvernia College Tuesday
at 7:00 p.m.
