KING'S VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS MISERICORDIA
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College women's volleyball team snapped a
five-match losing streak with a 3-0 victory over visiting
Misericordia University Wednesday in Scandlon Gymnasium.
King's, which won by scores of 30-24, 30-23, 30-24, improved to
14-10 on the year while the4 Cougars slipped to 9-8.
Danielle Belfanti posted 23 digs, 10 service points and two aces for
King's while Kelly Greenway distributed 30 assists. Kat Clerici
registered 10 kills and two blocks while Kaitlyn Malshefski followed
with eight kills and 13 digs. Samantha Page added six kills and 11
service points while Katie Doss contributed eight kills, seven digs,
and 10 service points. Shannon Ellis chipped in with eight digs.
Misericordia was led by Michelle DiCicco and Alexandra Goble with 11
and 10 kills respectively. MaLeana Mercandate dished out 20 assists
while Jess Karger added 13 assists. Chavonne Potts and Amy Porambo
tallied 12 digs each while Kristie Ebbecke chipped in with four
kills and six blocks.
King's returns to action Friday and Saturday at the Roadrunner
Invitational Tournament at Ramapo College, Ramapo, NJ.
