KING'S VOLLEYBALL UPSET BY WILKES, 3-2
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College women's volleyball team were
unable to make a 2-0 lead stand up as host Wilkes University rallied
for a 3-2 upset victory Tuesday in the Marts Center.
Wilkes won by scores of 18-25, 28-30, 25-18, 25-22, 15-11.
With the loss, King's fell to 12-3 overall and 2-1 in Freedom
Conference play. Wilkes, Meanwhile, improved to 5-8 and 2-1 in
league games.
King's was led by Kat Clerici with 15 kills and five total blocks.
Kaitlyn Malshefski followed with 10 kills and 18 digs. Danielle
Belfanti posted 24 digs while Katie Doss contributed with seven
kills and 19 digs. Samantha Garrigues chipped in with 34 assists and
12 digs.
King's will next compete in the Oneonta Invitational Tournament
Friday and Saturday at Oneonta State University, Oneonta, NY.
