KING'S VOLLEYBALL DOMINATES SECOND STRAIGHT
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's women's volleyball team dominated in
their second straight game when they visited Centenary College this
after noon. King's won in straight sets (25-15, 25-13, 25-11).
The game played today was King's
second game in less than twelve hours. Friday night, the Lady Monarchs
played host to St. Elizabeth's College. a game they also won in
straight sets.
In their match against Centenary,
junior libero Danielle Belfanti scored 12 digs, helping keep the
opponents points to a minimum. Middle hitter Emily Kline tallied six
kills and also earned a solo block.
On offense, setter
Samantha Garrigues assisted 18 times, as well as scoring six kills.
Kaitlyn Malshefski played well, scoring 10 kills, while Kat Clerici
was right behind her with eight kills.
Arguably the most impressive stat of
the day belongs to junior Katie Doss, who
scored 23 service points, included four service aces. She also
tallied 2 kills.
The Lady Monarchs are
back in action this Wednesday when they host Freedom Conference
opponent Delaware Valley College. The game will be played at 7:00pm
in Scandlon Gymnasium at King's College. Please check back here for
