KING'S VOLLEYBALL DROPS TWO AT MUHLENBERG TOURNEY
ALLENTOWN - The King's volleyball team dropped its first two games
at the Buttermaker Invitational Tournament Friday evening at
Muhlenberg College.
King's dropped its first game to host Muhlenberg 30-27, 30-25,
30-27, then fell to Susquehanna 30-13, 30-19, 30-21.
Against Muhlenberg, Dani Belfanti led the way with 35 digs and 12
service points. Kat Clerici followed with 14 kills and four total
blocks. Katie Doss contributed six kills and 13 digs while Samantha
Garrigues and Kelly Greenway combined for 32 assists. Kaitlyn
Malshefski added six kills and two blocks while Shannon Ellis
chipped in with eight digs.
In the match with Susquehanna, Belfanti posted 20 digs while Clerici
registered seven kills. Doss tallied six kills and six digs while
Ellis chalked up 10 digs.
King's will continue play Saturday at 10:00 a.m. against either
Albright or Centenary.
