KING'S VOLLEYBALL DOWNS CEDAR CREST
WILKES-BARRE - The King's College women's volleyball team improved its
record to 5-0 as the Lady Monarchs posted a 3-0 victory over visiting
Cedar Crest College Wednesday in Scandlon Gymnasium.
King's won by scores of 30-20, 30-20, 30-21.
Leading the way for the Lady Monarchs was sophomore Kat Clerici with 17
kills on the day. Fellow sophomore Kaitlyn Malshefski followed
with nine kills. Freshman Samantha Garrigues added 18 service points and
six aces, while combining with Kelly Greenway for 31 assists. Sophomore
Danielle Belfanti chipped in with 22 digs.
King's returns to action Friday with day-one of the Muhlenberg College
Invitational Tournament in Allentown. The Lady Monarchs will open pool
play against Muhlenberg at 4:00 p.m. before facing Susquehanna at 6:00
p.m.
