KING'S VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS TRI-MEET
LANCASTER -- The King's College women's
volleyball team swept both ends of a tri-match over Lancaster Bible
College and Immaculata University Saturday in Lancaster.
In its first game, King's defeated Lancaster Bible 30-26, 30-18,
30-15, before downing Immaculata 30-22, 30-13, 30-18. With the
sweep, King's improved to 13-5 on the season.
In the opener, Kat Clerici led the way with 14 kills and three
blocks while Kaitlyn Malshefski added 11 kills. Danielle Belfanti
posted 26 digs, 11 service points, and four aces. Samantha Garrigues
and Kelly Greenway combined for 28 assists while Garrigues
contributed eight kills. Shannon Ellis chipped in with 12 digs.
In the second game, Clerici topped the squad
with 12 kills and three blocks while Katie Doss tallied 10 kills.
Garrigues and Greenway combined for 25 assists while Malshefski and
Colleen McEntee chipped in with four and three kills respectively.
King's returns to action Wednesday with a 7:00 p.m. home contest
against Arcadia University in Scandlon Gymnasium.
