KING'S VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS TRI-MATCH
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College volleyball team
swept both ends of a tri-match, posting straight set 3-0 victories over
Lancaster Bible College and Immaculata University Saturday in Scandlon
Gymnasium.
King's defeated Immaculata 30-17, 30-19, 30-11 in its opener, then
downed Lancaster Bible 30-15, 30-20, 30-15 to improve to 17-11 on the
year.
Kaitlyn Malshefski led the way with 22 kills and 11 digs on the day. Kat
Clerici followed with 20 kills 17 digs, and four solo blocks. Danielle
Belfanti added 54 assists, 17 digs, and 16 service points while Samantha
Page contributed 17 kills and nine service points. Erin Dugan chipped in
with 12 kills, 23 digs, and 10 service points.
King's will return to action Tuesday when the Lady Monarchs travel to
face cross-town rival Wilkes University at 7:00 p.m. in the Marts
Center. A King's victory would clinch a Freedom Conference playoff berth
for the Lady Monarchs.
