KING'S VOLLEYBALL DROPS FIRST MATCH AT MUHLENBERG TOURNEY
WILKES-BARRE - The King's volleyball team suffered its first defeat of
the season as the Lady Monarchs dropped a 3-0 verdict to Albright
College Friday in the Muhlenberg College Invitational in Allentown.
King's lost by scores of 38-36, 30-24, 30-27 to slip to 5-1 on the year.
Danielle Beflanti led the way for the Lady Monarchs with 34 assists, 18
digs, and three aces. Kaitlyn Malshefski followed with14 kills, 22
digs, and four blocks. Samantha Page contributed 12 kills while
Kat Clerici added eight kills and four blocks.
King’s suffered a 3-0 loss (30-13,
30-10, 30-10) against MIT in its second contest.
King's will play Saturday at 12:30 p.m. against an opponent to be
determined.
