KING'S VOLLEYBALL CAPTURES TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP
WILKES-BARRE - The King's College volleyball team looked captured its
eighth consecutive King's College Tournament, beating Marywood 3-0 and
Wilkes 3-0 to finish with a 4-0 mark over the course of the two-day
event.
King's secured the win
against Marywood with scores of 30-26, 30-18, and 30-12. Freshman
Kaitlyn Malshefski led the way with nine kills and 10 digs.
All-Tournament selection freshman Danielle Belfanti added 28 assists.
Fellow all-tournament selection senior Jessica Luedeman contributed with
12 serve points and six digs. All-Tournament pick Kat Clerici finished
with seven kills and seven solo blocks.
King's then swept Wilkes
with scores of 30-24, 30-26, and 30-17. Leading the Lady Monarchs was
Danielle Belfanti with 28 assists and five digs. Kaitlyn Malshefski
added 14 kills and nine digs. Jessica Luedeman finished with four kills
and eight digs.
Marywood University finished
second in the tournament standings.
