OROS, KANDEFER NAMED TO MAC FREEDOM VOLLEYBALL ALL-STAR TEAM
WILKES-BARRE -- King's College senior women's volleyball players Michele
Oros and Jessica Kandefer have been named to the MAC Freedom Conference
all-star teams. Oros was a first-team selection while Kandefer was a
second-team choice.
Oros, a Crestwood High School product, enjoyed an outstanding season for
the Lady Monarchs. She posted a team-high 374 kills and a .333 hitting
percentage. The 6-foot middle hitter leads all of NCAA Division III with
1.88 blocks per-game, registering 186 total blocks in 99 games played.
Oros was a 2004 second-team all-conference selection after earning
first-team All-Pennsylvania Athletic Conference during her first two
years as a student at Marywood University, prior to transferring to
King's.
Kandefer, a resident of East Aurora, NY, was second on the squad with
322 kills while adding 275 digs and 32 blocks. The 5-7 outside hitter
also posted a team-high 66 service aces. She was a three-year starter
and four-year letter-winner with the Lady Monarchs.
The duo led King's to a 23-10 record on the year.
