KING'S POSTS 3-0 WIN OVER WILKES

(Wilkes-Barre, PA) - Katelyn Corgan had ten kills and Michelle Oros added eight kills and five blocks to lead King’s College to a 30-14, 30-24, 30-15 Freedom Conference volleyball win over visiting Wilkes University on Wednesday night.

The Lady Monarchs improve to 22-10 overall and even their conference mark at 3-3. Wilkes ends their season with an overall record of 11-17 and a conference mark of 1-5.

Jessica Kandefer contributed seven kills and ten digs to the King’s attack.

Katie Carr finished with three kills and a team-high 15 digs, while Erin Dugan contributed ten digs. The Lady Monarchs also got 32 assists and six digs from setter Jessica Luedeman.

Wilkes was led by the trio of Amanda Harlan, Alicia Vieselmeyer and Jillian Focht, who had seven kills apiece. Vieselmeyer also had four blocks in the match.

Lady Colonels setter Nicole Hahn finished with four kills, 22 assists, three service aces, three blocks and 16 digs.

King's will return to the court Friday at 7:00 p.m. when the Lady Monarchs host Chestnut Hill College on "Senior Night" in Scandlon Gymnasium.
