KING'S VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS TRI-MEET
WILKES-BARRE - The King's College women's volleyball team swept both ends
of a tri-match Saturday in Scandlon Gymnasium.
With the wins, King's improved to 17-6 on the year.
In its opening match, Kings
defeated St. Elizabeth's College 3-0 by scores of 30-14, 30-16, 30-14.
The Lady Monarchs then bested Montclair State 3-0 by scores of 30-9,
30-21, 30-17.
Against St. Elizabeth's, Jessica Kandefer posted 11 kills, three blocks,
and nine service points. Michelle Oros followed with 10 kills, four
blocks, and nine service points. Katelyn Corgan added eight kills while
Diane Lucas contributed 10 service points, seven digs, and three kills.
Jessica Luedeman distributed 32 assists.
Against Montclair, Oros led the way with 15 kills and four blocks.
Kandeder followed with 12 kills and nine digs. Luedeman dished out 40
assists and 12 service points while Corgan posted seven kills and three
blocks. Katie Carr had six kills, nine digs, and nine service points
while Eric Dugan chipped in with nine digs.
The Lady Monarchs return to action on Tuesday with a 7:00 p.m. home
contest against College Misericordia in Scandlon Gym.
