KING'S VOLLEYBALL SPLITS ON FINAL DAY OF ONEONTA TOURNEY
ONEONTA, NY -- The King's College volleyball split two matches on the
final day of the Oneonta Invitational Tournament to finish seventh in
the two-day event.
In two matches on Sunday, King's fell to Ithaca (16-6) by a 3-0 count.
Falling by scores of 30-10, 30-14, 30-22. In the match for
seventh-place, King's (14-6) defeated Mt. St. Mary's (4-9) by a 3-0
margin, by scores of 30-22, 30-28, 30-27.
Against Ithaca, Jessica Kandefer had seven kills, and four digs. Jessica
Luedeman added 13 assists while Michelle Oros contributed four kills and
four blocks. Against Mt. St. Mary's, Kandefer topped the squad with 13
kills, 10 digs, and seven service points. Oros followed with 15 kills
and four blocks while Katelyn Corgan added eight kills. Erin Dugan
posted eight digs and 10 service points while Diane Lucas chipped in
with four kills, eight digs, and 14 service points.
King's will next host DeSales University ion an important Freedom
Conference matchup Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in Scandlon Gymnasium.
