KING'S VOLLEYBALL DROPS SEASON FINALE TO ALVERNIA
WILKES-BARRE The King's College women's volleyball team saw its
season come to an end as the Lady Monarchs dropped a 3-1 decision to
Alvernia College Saturday in Scandlon Gymnasium.
Alvernia won by scores of 30-28, 27-30, 35-33, 30-22. The pivitol point in
the contest came in the third game when King's had three game points but
could not put the Crusaders away. Alvernia would win 35-33 and took a 2-1
lead in the contest.
With the win, Alvernia improved its season record to 22-3 by winning its
15th consecutive match. King's saw its seven-game win streak come to
an as the Lady Monarchs finished 17-12.
Michelle Oros and Elena DiGrado posted 13 kills each for King's while
Tricia Parks added eight. Jessica Luedeman distributed 53 assists
while Jessica Kandefer had 16 service points. Katie Carr, Diane
Lucas, and Brittany Enz had 25, 18, and 11 digs respectively.
