KING'S VOLLEYBALL DROPS FINAL TWO MATCHES AT ONEONTA
TOURNAMENT
ONEONTA, NY -- The King's College women's volleyball
team dropped both of its matches in the championship flight in the final
day of the Oneonta State University Invitational Tournament Sunday in
Oneonta, NY.
King's, which won its pool on Saturday to move into the final flight, fell
to St. John Fisher 30-20, 30-25, 30-26 in its first match of the day. The
Lady Monarchs then fell to eventual champion Skidmore 30-28, 30-23, 30-26
to go 0-2 on the day. With the losses, the Lady Monarchs fell to 10-9 on
the year.
The Lady Monarch were paced by Michelle Oros with 28 kills and seven
blocks on the day. Jessica Kandefer followed with 22 kills. Diane Lucas
and Katie Carr chipped in with 25 and 19 digs respectively.
King's will travel to meet Scranton Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the John
Long Center.
