KING'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO LYCOMING
WILKES-BARRE The King's College volleyball team dropped a
3-2 decision to visiting Lycoming College Wednesday at Scandlon Gymnasium.
Lycoming, which won by scores of 23-30, 30-24, 17-30, 30-25, 16-14,
improved to 5-6 overall and 2-0 in the Freedom Conference. King's
fell to 8-5 and 0-2.
In game-five, the Lady Monarchs held a 14-10 advantage and were serving
for match point but Lycoming rallied to score the final six points of the
match.
Michelle Oros led King's with 22 kills on the night. Elena DiGrado
and Jess Kandefer added 17 and 15 kills respectively. Brittany Enz
totaled 51 assists, 17 service points, and eight aces. Katie Carr
chipped in with 13 digs.
King's returns to action Saturday at noon when the Lady Monarchs host
Immaculata College. King's will then hold an alumni match at 2:30 p.m.
