KING'S VOLLEYBALL FINISHES SECOND AT MUHLENBERG
TOURNEY
ALLENTOWN -- The King's College women's volleyball
team finished second at the Muhlenberg College Invitational Tournament
Saturday in Allentown.
The Lady Monarchs dropped a 3-1 decision to
Haverford in the second-round of pool play but won the pool based on a
tiebreaker. King's advanced to the championship flight and defeated
Muhlenberg 3-1 in the semi-finals, then fell to FDU-Florham 3-1 in the
title match.
Michelle Oros was named to the all-tournament team
and posted 44 kills and 14 blocks on Saturday. Jessica Kandefer followed
with 43 kills, 37 digs, and 35 service points while Katie Carr added 38
digs, 26 service points, and 16 kills. Brittany Enz dished out 107
assists; Elena DiGrado chipped in with 42 kills, and Diane Lucas posted 45
digs.
King's travels to Wilkes Wednesday for a 7:00 p.m.
contest.
