ANNIE GERMAN BREAKS CAREER KILLS MARK AS KING'S VOLLEYBALL WINS TWO IN
TRI-MEET
WILKES-BARRE - The King's College women's volleyball team improved to
17-10 on the year by sweeping a tri-meet Saturday in Scandlon
Gymnasium.
King's defeated St. John Fisher College 3-2 by scores of 30-19, 30-27,
21-30, 17-30, 18-16. The Lady Monarchs then knocked off Montclair State
3-0 by scores of 30-23, 30-28, 30-11 to win its fourth straight
match.
Senior Annie German led King's with 30 kills and 34 digs on the day. In
the process, she set broke King's career record for kills of 1,367 set by
Faith O'Dell from 2000-2002. German needed 19 to break the mark and now
has 1,379.
Jessica McVey added 33 kills and 58 digs. Jessica Luedeman distributed 39
assists. Elena DiGrado chipped in with 18 kills and 16 service points.
