KING'S VOLLEYBALL DOWNS DESALES, 3-0

WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College women's volleyball team continued its drive to the post-season as the Lady Monarchs picked up an important 3-0 MAC Freedom Conference victory over DeSales Tuesday in Scandlon Gymnasium.

King's, which won by scores of 30-24, 30-20, 30-20, improved to 14-10 overall and 3-2 in conference play. DeSales fell to 10-13 and 1-3.

The Lady Monarchs were led by senior Jessica McVey with 20 kills and 24 digs. Fellow senior Annie German followed with 14 kills and nine digs. Katie Carr and Elena DiGrado added 12 and 11 digs respectively. Jessica Luedeman distributed 26 assists with 11 digs while Lauren Foster chipped in with 15 assists.

King's will travel to LaPlume to play Keystone College at 7:00 p.m. before returning home Saturday for a 12:00 noon tri-match with Montclair State and St. John Fisher.
