KING'S WINS FIRST TWO MATCHES AT ONEONTA TOURNEY
ONEONTA, NY The King's College volleyball team completed the
first two steps to repeating as champions at the Oneonta State
Invitational with a pair of wins on Saturday.
In its first match, King's
defeated Union College 3-2 by scores of 24-30, 30-26, 27-30, 30-20,
15-7. In their second match, the Lady Monarchs bested St. Lawrence
University 3-1, by scores of 30-18, 26-30, 30-22, 31-29.
King's was led by Jessica McVey with 57 digs, 39 kills, and 21 service
points. Annie German followed with 42 kills and 30 digs.
With the wins, King's improved to 12-8 on the year.
The Lady Monarchs will continue play Sunday against Utica College
