KING’S VOLLEYBALL DEFEATS LYCOMING, IMPROVE TO 19-0
WILLIAMSPORT – The King’s College women’s
volleyball team continues to roll as the unbeaten Lady Monarchs posted a
3-1 victory over host Lycoming College
in an MAC Freedom Conference matchup Wednesday in Williamsport.
King’s, which won by scores of 30-20, 24-30, 30-24, 30-26, improved
its
school-record win streak to 19-0
and 2-0 in conference play.
Faith O’Dell of Lake Lehman led the attack with 22 kills and 10 digs.
Annie
German followed with 12 kills and
11 service points. Jessica McVey added 16 digs,
14 service points, and eight kills.
Katie Baffone distributed 39 assists
while Stephanie Spencer had six kills. Coughlin product Jill Leibman
contributed eight service points while Tara
Holly of Dallas chipped in with seven
digs.
The Lady Monarchs will return to action Friday when King’s travels to
Bethlehem to face Moravian College at 7:00
p.m. in a battle of two of the top programs
in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
