KING'S VOLLEYBALL GOES 2-0 AFTER FIRST DAY OF WASHINGTON TOURNEY
WILKES-BARRE The King's College women's volleyball team won
its first two matches at the two-day Washington College Invitational
Friday in Chestertown, Md.
King's won both matches by 3-0 scores, besting host Washington 30-16,
30-17, 30-24. The Lady Monarchs then defeated Mary Washington 30-12,
30-19, 30-18.
Statistical leaders for King's included Katie Baffone 57 assists and 17
service points. Faith O'Dell followed with 23 kills, 23 service points,
and 17 digs. Jessica McVey added 18 digs, 13 kills, and 10 service points,
while Jill Leibman chipped in with 16 kills and 15 service points.
Tournament play will conclude Saturday.
