KING'S TENNIS FACING DESALES IN FREEDOM TOURNEY SEMI-FINALS
WILKES-BARRE -- The Lady Monarch tennis team advanced to the
Freedom Conference championship match with a 5-3 victory over
DeSales University in the semi-finals Saturday at Kirby Park.
King's will advance to Sunday's championship match against
Wilkes, which defeated Manhattanville in the other semi-final, at 10:00 a.m. at Kirby Park.
King's won two of the three doubles matches to start the contest. After
Kristen Hunter, Amanda Marchica, and Courtnay Wilson each won in singles
to clinch the match, the remainder of the bouts were suspended.
