KING'S HUNTER NAMED SECOND-TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE

WILKES-BARRE  -- King's College women's tennis standout Kristen Hunter (Lebanon, PA/Annville-Cleona) has been named to the All-Freedom Conference Team as a second-team selection, the MAC Office announced Thursday.

Playing the number-one position in both singles and doubles for the second straight season, Hunter has posted a 7-8 singles mark in 2006, while going 6-9 in doubles, along with partner Sarah Guza.  Hunter won six of her seven singles matches in straight sets.

Hunter and her King's teammates will close out the season with the 2006 MAC Individual Singles and Doubles Championships Saturday and Sunday at Lehigh University, Bethlehem.
