KING'S BREEN NAMED MAC FREEDOM PLAYER OF THE WEEK
WILKES-BARRE -- King's College sophomore Lauren Breen has been
named the MAC Freedom Conference "Player of the Week".
Breen played in two matches during the week and went 3-0 as King’s won
both matches over Keystone and Eastern.
She won both her singles matches as well as her lone doubles contest.
In singles, she won 24 games while losing just one playing at
number four and five singles. In a 5-4 Freedom Conference win over Eastern, she
posted a 6-0, 6-1, victory at number-five and added an 8-6 win at
number-two doubles. She then followed up with a 6-0, 6-0 triumph in
number-four singles against Keystone.
On the year, Breen is unbeaten in singles with a 6-0 mark while also
going 3-1 in doubles. She is a combined 9-1 in singles and
doubles this season.
