KING'S TENNIS SWEEPS PENN STATE HARRISBURG, 9-0
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College women's tennis team
improved to 5-2 on the year as the Lady Monarchs posted a convincing 9-0
victory over visiting Penn State Harrisburg Wednesday at Kirby Park.
King's jumped out to a 3-0 lead by sweeping the doubles competition,
then won all six singles bouts to secure the win. In singles, the Lady
Monarchs won 6-0, 6-0 scores in four of the six matches.
Kristen Hunter, Sarah Guza, Jillian Tallarico, and Amanda Marchica were
all winners in both singles and doubles. Hunter improved to 6-1 in
singles while she and Guza also improved to 6-1 as doubles partners.
Elizabeth Walpole also upped her ingles mark to 4-1.
The Lady Monarchs will get right back to action Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
when King's hosts Arcadia University at Kirby Park.
