KING'S TENNIS HOSTING MARYWOOD
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College tennis team won two of
three doubles then matches, then captured five of the six singles bouts
to post a 7-2 victory over Marywood University in its season opener
Tuesday at Kirby Park.
Maria Cometa and Rachel Hoffnagel were the lone winners in both singles
and doubles for King's.
Joining Cometa and Hoffnagel as singles victors were Jillian Tallarico,
Christy Rossowski, and Lauren Breen. Courtnay Wilson teamed with
Hoffnagle while Cometa and Diane Darby paired up to post doubles
victories for the Lady Monarchs.
King's will next host Keystone College Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Kirby
Park.
